Is India Really a Male Dominated Country ???
Dear Friends,
I am please to blog this on behalf of this 17 Yr Old College going Girl, She Writes
I being a 21st Century Girl doesn’t believe that India is a male dominated country because now-a-days abla’s are sabla’s I mean to say that today’s generation women always want to get something which is new branded and which also has a status symbol that too sitting at home without earning anything. This whole pressure comes on the poor husband who has to listen to his parents, to his in-law, to his boss to his children’s demand too. Irrespective of his demand he has to fulfill his family demand first.
If demand is not fulfilled by him then he has to listen to his wife’s taunts, his children’s frustration to face other problems too. Husbands also have only one person to whom they can talk i.e. to their wife, But dominating nature of wives make them more angry and violent due to which male remove their frustration in form of anger and violence. After that, the spouse or man’s better half do the propaganda of their so called plight without thinking about their husband’s mental status. Thus, adding fuel to fire. They do this with their sure shot and powerful weapon i.e. Tears. Some wives are so great that they directly go to the cops without thinking once about the consequences on their husbands and his family members, Due to which males like (Ram) have to suffer a lot.
This thought of mine can be explained with my personally witnessed experience some days back in my friend’s case. She was genuinely eve teased by some notorious guys in her neighborhood. Her father came to know about this incidence and he called the cops. The guys were taken to question by the police. But to my surprise the police did not even question us at all!!! They took us on face value and the guys were bashed royally by police. And we were not even questioned at all. I could sense the loop hole that I hear many elder married guys stuck in divorce who talks about it, like the one in my neighborhood. Before which I had no whiff about the whole thing.
I asked the police if we could leave and he understood my gesture on face. And he said to us that “You are like our daughters and we have now to be extra cautious about our image too, especially after the rape cases”
And that is where after the NC was lodged I could make out that men are really really vulnerable and women is actually dominating men using men (police) and law to the maximum of their advantage.
No doubt my friends’ grievance was genuine but the statement of the police and the treatment given to the accused at the face value of the whole matter made my conscience prick me to the extent of telling me that thank god I do not have a brother else he could have been victimized and would have been equally vulnerable to this attitude of the police.

How an NRI in fear of arrest due to misuse of 498A going to attend in the meeting in India in first place? Will be like placing the head in the lion's mouth!!! So have such meetings in UK and USA also where people feel many victims are or give some sort of guarantee for NRI's return after the meeting to attend to his duties back in UK and USA. This matter is as bad as that and I am sorry to say this in 2006. With all due respect for India but NRI's life is also valuable. Thanx UK guy.

498A Section should not be a nightmare. The reason it is so is because as we read here, the police arrest the husband and the family upon the lady's first complain and then the case starts. The lady in question can complain to the police and then the police have to tell her to hire a lawyer to fight the case. The idea seems that the lady likes to harrase the husband and his family and this can be done so easily as she does not have to lift a stick or hire a gunda as the police do that job for her and so the police are guilty here and they should firstly be taken to the court and then the husband. Come on police we have to see you as god figure. Please dont lose your chance to get moksha doing your duty. As clearly it is the police harrasing and not the husband in many cases. So is there a 498A/Police to go legally against the police? These cases will almost get very small in number if this police illegal decision is put to check. Come on police we have to see you as god figure. People are clearly not scared of a letter from the lady's lawyer as they have the time and the money to fight back with the proof we see here. But how they do this and specially from abroad as they have the fear of being arrested in the first place? If one tries to be a Gandhi in 2006 India, he/she gets a bullet bit too quick and seems from the law itself. Time waste trying to teach the law makers when this law is understood to be unfair by even a street man. So let some law makers first try to be Gandhi and do something constructive for India. May be this is why many men first become PIO-Person of Indian Origin and then NRI. So he can live and marry happily abroad where there is plenty of choice(Indians also) and you can marry and face a civilised law and not the unlawful police stick in India. So people qualify in India after spending so much of Government money and then move abroad to serve overseas country. Wake up India. Wah!!! UK Guy.

NRI lost interest and respect for the place when recently got into this trap. Previously was visiting India regularly and also contrubuted at places of need. Totally innocent but now even scared to place information here with name and address.....simply because you never know what can happen. My life is valued by me and dont want it ruined by some thugs when such law exists in India. Can we please have more Gandhis from the politicians of India? Gandhi opened this employment.....that is Official Indian Politics. So let us give something in return to HIM please. UK Guy.

Reading all this about the misuse of law and in particular misuse of 498A, I have a suggestion for NRI. Go to India for a holiday. Like now, don’t get involved with politics and business there in India. By now after many years abroad, you have got this title of being a NRI. Most likely you are born abroad. So be a NRI. They used to say when you marry a lady, the 2 families also get married. The problems get sorted out by the 2 families. But remember now…..REMEMBER…..NRI guy not only marries an Indian lady from India but also marries the India police, who are the first ones to arrest you before you are found guilty. Why we blame the law? The law is there. The people who put the law in place are the ones to take the responsibility. So why marry a lady from India in the first place? There are plenty of Indian ladies abroad also where you now live. The Indian lady from India will find it difficult to adjust to the life abroad…..in particular UK and then will blame you and they have the additional police force in India who they can rely on to lock you up next time you are in India or can call you to India by arresting your family member in India, if you have any there. Why marry one and try to see if she adjusts to the life in UK. Why take this risk as she has the Indian police on her side to even ruin your future visits to India. Be safe where you belong and serve that country. You are a NRI and be a NRI. Yes, visit India, see the place, enjoy the Darshans at religious places, enjoy the food and get out after that, back to where you belong. Sorry India this is happening now after personal experience. I am giving my points only about this one problem in India. It is up to others and India herself to address other issues. UK guy.

FACTS IN SIMPLE ENGLISH
India is so divided as it is and such laws will only send females to some sector of the men population....eg men police, men lawyers, men judges. As per the law, men are not trusted it seems and most of the people handling the cases are men. This is the place where the same ladies will say yes sir and can end up doing whatever is said to them and will have to keep the mouth shut also, and later realise what real trouble can be.
Let all that happen and then when they don’t have any place to go to, then the lesson will be learnt…..is this what we want to happen to our sisters, wives and mothers? Don’t you think it will be too late by then? Meaning….. where will they complain when harassed by men police, men lawyers, and men judges? These guys may not be your husbands but they will still be men. Will they care for you more than your husbands? Will they truly care for you?

It is like a case where a woman law maker is sending a poor cow to a lion hoping that the lion is a vegetarian. FROM THIS 498A SECTION AND HOW IT WORKS, IT SEEMS THAT IT IS VERY VERY SAFE FOR AN INDIAN LADY FROM INDIA TO MARRY AN INDIAN POLICE-MAN, INDIAN MAN LAWYER, INDIAN MAN JUDGE. .....ARE THEY ALL PERFECT AND UNTOUCHABLE BY THE LAW???!!! I heard that many ladies from India go to Dubai and other rich cities and dance in front of guys and many go to the ones offering the most money to finish off the night.....and the same process starts the next night. All for money???!!!
And many of the other ladies misuse 498A penal code and other similar one sided laws existing in India to extract as much money as possible from guys in India and guys overseas. This is gradually becoming the Indian ladies' image. Nothing to be proud of.
If some of these lady law makers in India think that they have introduced something great by bringing in the one sided 498A penal code and DV law, then they have to realise that they have done nothing better than these other dancing ladies and the ladies who misuse the law. These laws make it easy for ladies to extract money from guys. The lady law makers have helped them.
All this is ruining the good name of Indian ladies and India in general. India has been known to be a very religious country with many Gods who took birth on the land. India is a very big supplying industry for basically everything on this planet. Now the country has a very big population with AIDS. It can now even be said that many Gods might take birth in India not because the people are good and the land is fertile for the birth of Gods. But one can say that many people(specially ladies) are not using their heads properly and they need to be taught some basics by Gods. May be India might even lose the chance to have Gods taking birth in India for centuries. Many people in India are losing the good teachings that the saints and sages gave to India. Many Ravanas and Kansh and so God takes birth? How many can he destroy? Too many around. And so He teaches by taking birth and might even refuse to come that easily now.
India.....WAKE UP before the bad law makers make these new laws to destroy the country. Here I am only talking about 498A and DV law. So ladies.....do a U Turn and do the duties well. Otherwise many of you will seem to be the modern day Ravanas and Kansh in India. If you are enjoying all this, then continue dancing in overseas clubs and make plenty of money by extracting money from guys after marrying them and then misusing these 498A type penal code laws. And be a supplying industry for sex also. So India gets a new name…..WORLD SUPPLIER.

Peopla are dieing due to the misuse of Indian Penal Code 498A and DV Law and people and lawyers are interested in Gere - Shilpa kiss???!!! Purushottam Mahajan - Mumbai - Maharastra

Comments: My name is Purushottam Mahajan; presently working for Citibank, my wife’s name is Ujjwala after marriage (Pallavi). My parents live at Dabhadi, Taluka- Malegaon Dist- Nasik .Immediately after marriage she said if you do not take me to Mumbai I will make a big Tamasha….
My mother is a retired Head Mistress of a school at Dabhadi and my father was a Head Master of a school at Dabhadi and now retired as Area Education Officer.
Initially the problem was of hygiene, gross negligence at home; my kitchen was just a dump yard she never use to take care of my son, her only interest was her beauty parlor where she sits with women who always talk very cheap….
Once there was a fight as my son was not doing well in studies and I requested her to come back home once son’s school gets over because after school he remains hungry she keeps him at parlor where he plays in the slum…gutter…mud…because of the fight we together went to a Police Station at Dindoshi, Goregaon, where we met Mr. Suryakant Kharat who was PSI on duty…..I explained him the problem…when he heard about the beauty parlor he took interest in my wife, did not listen to me and did hero giri in front of my wife…Isko Under Kar do kya…..he then gave his mobile number to my wife and taken her number also.
After few days my wife showed me the sms sent by the PSI…said how he is trying to take the advantage of our quarrel….then he started giving calls to her….initially she avoided talking to him…when she showed me the calls I requested her that we should go to his senior officer and complaint…she said why will she complaint?.....he may be useful to her one day….why will I take enmity against him?... The entire world came to know but I was not knowing when she developed the relations with him….My friend saw her on the motor bike with him….the neighbors saw her with him….but I came to know at the last…..when I came to know she started giving threats Kharat can arrest me any time….he can arrest my entire family my aged mother-father brother-sister….then whenever we use to have quarrel she started hitting me….pulling my hair…and tearing my clothes…and giving me threats Kharat can come with Police Jeep and can arrest me….when she started hitting me very badly I told it to my relatives…no one believed….wife can not beat her husband then I met a Lawyer Mrs. Ashumol Kumar…explained her the problem she told me that if no one believes then you will have to record it….because what happens in the four walls, you will not be able to prove and the law protects only women….then I put a DVR, a video recorder. It recorded all the incidents day and night 24hours for 2 months…. Where you can see she beating me every morning I was going to my office and after office the moment I entered the house….though I am a man I was afraid of going home at the end of the day….
I showed the recording to my relatives….they were shocked…the meeting was arranged between her relatives and my relatives where my wife said she is not interested and wants to be a free women…her father demanded 10 lacks rupees and said if this demand is not fulfilled then as you are aware we have good relationship with the Police Department….we know how to get the money….relatives said it is totally a kind of extortion….if you get money then nothing happed if you do not get money then you will file falls complaint to get money…the intervention of the relatives was of no use…wife left my home at her own will brought police to take her belongings…and started living independently….then I filed a divorce petition under cruelty ground in the Family Court at Bandra on 23rd July 08 and as the part of the conspiracy with Karath and a lady PSI Vandana Shirgire my wife gave a written complaint to file a case against me U/S 498A on 8th Aug 2008.
I was called on 20/08/2008 at the Police Station. I went with all the evidence I had showed it to the PSI Vandana Shirgire who is a regular visitor to my wife’s beauty parlor and was taking instructions from Mr. Kharat….the PSI behaved very rudely with me I called my Lawyer Mrs. Ashumol Kumar…the lawyer spoke to the PSI and also with my wife, they demanded 10 Lacks rupees or be prepared for the consequences….the lawyer said make a demand which can be fulfilled…..
Then I met the Senior Police Inspector Mr. Uttam Khairmode (on 21st Aug 08) showed him the video recording and explained him that it is me how is the victim….he called my wife… they had the meeting…the Senior PI said if you take your wife with you there would be no offence registered if you do not take her with you we will file a complaint….I said Sir she left the house on her own…even after looking at these videos where you see how violent my wife is you are asking me to take her home…..then I did 2 things I applied for Anti-cipatory Bail and I met the DCP Mr. Ajit Patil…(on 28th Aug 08) after looking at the videos he said how can they think of filing complaint against you?....he called the Senior PI who was irate with me because I approached his senior and also called the lady PSI and my wife…..he showed the video to my wife she agreed it is she only…then I was told to go…..and the next day the police was suppose to give their say for my anticipatory bail application the lady PSI came with the offence registered.
Initially interim anticipatory bail was granted to me but later the Judge did not see the videos and the divorce petition which was flied before the offence registered …just kept on reading the documents created by the police and I was sent to jail….for 5 days….
After coming out of the Jail I straightaway went to see Teesta Setlwad ….she was not in Mumbai….then I met her husband Mr. Javed Anand… who told me that he knows the Additional Commissioner Mr. Suresh Khopde who is non corrupt and would give justice to me….I prepared presentation spending the entire night and next day met him (on 7th Oct 08). He called Mr. Kharath and the lady PSI Vandan Shirgire (on 10th Oct) and told me to ask few questions to them in front of the Additional Commission both Kharat and Shirgire were unable to give answers to my questions….Mr. Khopde said he can very well see the conspiracy…said we recruit women who are suppose to be sensitive but this lady officer is shameless…he shouted at both of them and said I am taking this case away form Vandana Sirgire at this very moment… told me to meet PI Khadtare give him all the evidence I showed him and they will see that this case gets classified and closed. Now Mr. Khadtare has taken my statement, statement of relatives who witnessed the extortion of Rupees 10 lacks…I have given him all the documents proving that each and every sentence in the FRI is falls ….but I am not sure if he is trying to safe guard PSI Kharat and Vandana Sirgire…So far he has not yet submitted his report to the Additional Commissioner Mr. Suresh Khopde who is due for promotion and may get transferred and then there will be no one to give justice to me….at the moment I am just waiting and watching…

Then I met the Senior Police Inspector Mr. Uttam Khairmode (on 21st Aug 08) showed him the video recording and explained him that it is me how is the victim….he called my wife… they had the meeting…the Senior PI said if you take your wife with you there would be no offence registered if you do not take her with you we will file a complaint….I said Sir she left the house on her own…even after looking at these videos where you see how violent my wife is you are asking me to take her home…..then I did 2 things I applied for Anti-cipatory Bail and I met the DCP Mr. Ajit Patil…(on 28th Aug 08) after looking at the videos he said how can they think of filing complaint against you?....he called the Senior PI who was irate with me because I approached his senior and also called the lady PSI and my wife…..he showed the video to my wife she agreed it is she only…then I was told to go…..and the next day the police was suppose to give their say for my anticipatory bail application the lady PSI came with the offence registered.
Initially interim anticipatory bail was granted to me but later the Judge did not see the videos and the divorce petition which was flied before the offence registered …just kept on reading the documents created by the police and I was sent to jail….for 5 days….
After coming out of the Jail I straightaway went to see Teesta Setlwad ….she was not in Mumbai….then I met her husband Mr. Javed Anand… who told me that he knows the Additional Commissioner Mr. Suresh Khopde who is non corrupt and would give justice to me….I prepared presentation spending the entire night and next day met him (on 7th Oct 08). He called Mr. Kharath and the lady PSI Vandan Shirgire (on 10th Oct) and told me to ask few questions to them in front of the Additional Commission both Kharat and Shirgire were unable to give answers to my questions….Mr. Khopde said he can very well see the conspiracy…said we recruit women who are suppose to be sensitive but this lady officer is shameless…he shouted at both of them and said I am taking this case away form Vandana Sirgire at this very moment… told me to meet PI Khadtare give him all the evidence I showed him and they will see that this case gets classified and closed. Now Mr. Khadtare has taken my statement, statement of relatives who witnessed the extortion of Rupees 10 lacks…I have given him all the documents proving that each and every sentence in the FRI is falls ….but I am not sure if he is trying to safe guard PSI Kharat and Vandana Sirgire…So far he has not yet submitted his report to the Additional Commissioner Mr. Suresh Khopde who is due for promotion and may get transferred and then there will be no one to give justice to me….at the moment I am just waiting and watching…

She runs a Beauty Parlor at Santosh Nagar, Goreagaon(E), Mumbai, which is a slum area.The marriage was held on 25April, 1999. From the very beginning there was a difference of values and the attitude towards life. After marriage we had gone to Matheran for Honeymoon and there only she showed her colors….was freely flirting with a son of the hotel owner where we stayed.
My parents live at Dabhadi, Taluka- Malegaon Dist- Nasik .Immediately after marriage she said if you do not take me to Mumbai I will make a big Tamasha….
My mother is a retired Head Mistress of a school at Dabhadi and my father was a Head Master of a school at Dabhadi and now retired as Area Education Officer.
Initially the problem was of hygiene, gross negligence at home; my kitchen was just a dump yard she never use to take care of my son, her only interest was her beauty parlor where she sits with women who always talk very cheap….
Once there was a fight as my son was not doing well in studies and I requested her to come back home once son’s school gets over because after school he remains hungry she keeps him at parlor where he plays in the slum…gutter…mud…because of the fight we together went to a Police Station at Dindoshi, Goregaon, where we met Mr. Suryakant Kharat who was PSI on duty…..I explained him the problem…when he heard about the beauty parlor he took interest in my wife, did not listen to me and did hero giri in front of my wife…Isko Under Kar do kya…..he then gave his mobile number to my wife and taken her number also.
After few days my wife showed me the sms sent by the PSI…said how he is trying to take the advantage of our quarrel….then he started giving calls to her….initially she avoided talking to him…when she showed me the calls I requested her that we should go to his senior officer and complaint…she said why will she complaint?.....he may be useful to her one day….why will I take enmity against him?... The entire world came to know but I was not knowing when she developed the relations with him….My friend saw her on the motor bike with him….the neighbors saw her with him….but I came to know at the last…..when I came to know she started giving threats Kharat can arrest me any time….he can arrest my entire family my aged mother-father brother-sister….then whenever we use to have quarrel she started hitting me….pulling my hair…and tearing my clothes…and giving me threats Kharat can come with Police Jeep and can arrest me….when she started hitting me very badly I told it to my relatives…no one believed….wife can not beat her husband then I met a Lawyer Mrs. Ashumol Kumar…explained her the problem she told me that if no one believes then you will have to record it….because what happens in the four walls, you will not be able to prove and the law protects only women….then I put a DVR, a video recorder. It recorded all the incidents day and night 24hours for 2 months…. Where you can see she beating me every morning I was going to my office and after office the moment I entered the house….though I am a man I was afraid of going home at the end of the day….
I showed the recording to my relatives….they were shocked…the meeting was arranged between her relatives and my relatives where my wife said she is not interested and wants to be a free women…her father demanded 10 lacks rupees and said if this demand is not fulfilled then as you are aware we have good relationship with the Police Department….we know how to get the money….relatives said it is totally a kind of extortion….if you get money then nothing happed if you do not get money then you will file falls complaint to get money…the intervention of the relatives was of no use…wife left my home at her own will brought police to take her belongings…and started living independently….then I filed a divorce petition under cruelty ground in the Family Court at Bandra on 23rd July 08 and as the part of the conspiracy with Karath and a lady PSI Vandana Shirgire my wife gave a written complaint to file a case against me U/S 498A on 8th Aug 2008.

I went with all the evidence I had showed it to the PSI Vandana Shirgire who is a regular visitor to my wife’s beauty parlor and was taking instructions from Mr. Kharat….the PSI behaved very rudely with me I called my Lawyer Mrs. Ashumol Kumar…the lawyer spoke to the PSI and also with my wife, they demanded 10 Lacks rupees or be prepared for the consequences….the lawyer said make a demand which can be fulfilled…..

I had said that the politicians allowing this misuse of Indian Penal Code 498A after reading cases are equally at fault. This was clearly stated during comments at one particular case. Now it seems that there is some sort of a U-Turn coming to place. We need to know more about it as to whether it is fully in force throughout India or not.
